Newsify Terms of Service

Last updated: October 18, 2026. The Persian text is the binding version; this is a translation.

Newsify (newsify.site) lets news agencies and media outlets build professional news websites and run them on our infrastructure in Iran. These terms govern your use of the website, the customer panel, NewsCockpit and the sites run through Newsify. By signing up, signing in or using the services you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. “We” means Newsify; “you” means the user and the newsroom they represent.

1. Acceptance

If you sign up for a newsroom or company you confirm you may bind it. If you do not accept these terms, do not use the services. A separate written agreement (for example for dedicated hosting) prevails over these terms where they conflict.

2. The service

Newsify is a self-service platform: news-site building on our CMS with chosen themes and features and a newsroom panel on its own address; shared or (when approved) dedicated hosting, DNS, TLS, attack protection, backups and updates; a wallet, invoices and usage reports; and NewsCockpit, an editorial dashboard (trends, Search Console and Analytics insights, AI drafts, notifications). Plans, prices and features are shown on the website and may change under section 16. Marketing pages and the price calculator are an invitation to deal and bind nobody until you have created a site and paid.

3. Account and newsroom

  • Sign-in is by your own mobile number and an SMS code. You are responsible for your number and devices; what is done from your account is attributed to you.
  • You must be at least 18 and legally capable.
  • Newsroom details (legal name, national ID, economic code, address, licence) must be accurate and current. A valid media licence is required to continue; we review it and may allow a trial first. Site creation or activation may wait for approval.
  • The owner decides who is invited and with which role, and is responsible for their actions in the panel.
  • Keep sign-in details private and tell us immediately if you think your account was compromised.

4. Prices, wallet and invoices

  • Prices are shown in toman (stored in rial). Charges are computed from your configuration and usage (plan, panel users, enabled features, AI usage, etc.), deducted daily from your wallet, and shown before you build.
  • The wallet is topped up through Iranian bank gateways; a top-up is credited after server-side verification, not merely by returning to our page.
  • Some items (for example premium themes) are one-time charges, shown at purchase. AI usage may be billed separately by actual use.
  • A numbered monthly invoice itemizes charges; VAT is added at the statutory rate.
  • Price changes are announced in advance and apply to periods after the notice, not to past days.
  • If you see a billing error, object through support within 30 days of the invoice; if we erred we correct it or credit your wallet.

5. Low balance and suspension

A site is not cut off at once when the wallet runs low. Normal steps (which may differ for special accounts):

  • Warning by SMS and in the panel when the balance covers only a few more days.
  • Grace period (default 72 hours) at zero balance: site and panel fully working.
  • Read-only panel; the site stays up for readers.
  • Suspension after about 7 more days: a “under review” page is shown; data stays intact.
  • Archive after about 30 more days: a final backup is taken and resources are freed. The final backup remains available to the owner for 90 days, then is deleted.

Topping up at any step restores the site automatically. Suspended or archived sites are not charged for freed resources. We are not liable for loss from a site going read-only or offline because of an exhausted balance; the warnings exist to prevent it. We may also make a site read-only or suspend it immediately to protect infrastructure or comply with law (sections 8 and 15), and will tell you why as soon as we can.

6. Refunds

  • The remaining wallet balance, after deducting usage, is refunded on the owner’s request through support to the original payment method or to a bank account in the newsroom’s name, normally within a few business days (bank transfer time is outside our control).
  • Used charges, delivered one-time items such as themes, and amounts paid to third parties on your behalf (for example domain registration) are not refundable unless the defect is ours.
  • If an outage caused by us exceeds what is normal, you receive a proportionate refund or credit.
  • Report duplicate or failed top-ups through support with the payment reference.

7. Your content

  • Articles, images, videos and data on your site remain yours (or their lawful owners’). You give us a limited licence to store, back up, transmit and display them solely to provide the service.
  • You are responsible for your content: the right to publish it, attribution, press law, copyright, computer-crime law and any other rule. We are not the publisher, do not review content in advance and do not vouch for its accuracy.
  • Your readers and site users are your audience; you decide what data you collect from them and must comply with the applicable law (see section 5 of the Privacy Policy).

8. Acceptable use

The following is prohibited and may lead to immediate suspension or termination: content that is a crime under the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran; infringing copyright or trademarks, impersonating another outlet, deliberately deceptive fake news, fraud and phishing; malware, attacking others’ systems, unauthorized scanning, crypto-mining, spam; circumventing technical or billing limits, abusing discount codes, or trying to reach another customer’s site or data; use that degrades shared capacity for others (we will first notify you and may move you to a suitable or dedicated plan); and reselling the service under your own name without written agreement.

If a competent authority orders removal or blocking, or we receive a credible complaint about infringing content, we may make the content or site unavailable to the extent necessary, and tell you where possible so you can respond.

9. Domains and DNS

  • You must prove you own a domain (for example with a TXT or NS record) and must not add domains you have no right to use.
  • If you delegate DNS to us, you manage and answer for the records; we only run the name servers. A domain registered with a registrar (for example IRNIC) remains subject to that registrar and we cannot control its suspension or transfer.
  • Your panel address can be changed; the old address is removed after a grace period.
  • We may disable a record that harms others’ sites or domains (for example subdomain takeover).

10. Data and backups

  • We take nightly backups kept for the period shown in your plan. They help us restore service; they are not a substitute for your own copy, so export now and then.
  • The owner or technical member can download the database, media and settings through 24-hour download links at any time.
  • Self-managed sites are backed up by you.
  • How personal data is kept, deleted and used is in the Privacy Policy.

11. NewsCockpit and third parties

  • Connecting Google Search Console and Analytics is optional and allowed only for sites and properties whose data you are entitled to access. Use of Google data in NewsCockpit is governed by section 6 of the Privacy Policy; Google’s own terms also apply to your Google account. You can revoke access at any time.
  • AI output (story drafts, headline suggestions and the like) is a suggestion and may be wrong or incomplete. Review, fact-checking and publication are your responsibility. AI usage may have a daily cap.
  • SMS, payment gateways, Google, Telegram and language models are run by others. If they are cut off or restricted, some features may be temporarily unavailable; that alone is not our breach, and we will try to provide an alternative.

12. Updates and availability

  • Your site is updated periodically inside the maintenance window you set. The stable channel is the default; you may choose beta or pin a version at your own risk.
  • We work for high availability but do not promise uninterrupted service. A specific availability commitment exists only in a separate written agreement. Planned maintenance is announced in advance.
  • International internet disruption, large-scale cyber-attack, power or data-centre network failure, sanctions or official decisions are force majeure and excuse us for their duration.

13. Intellectual property

The software, design, themes, the Newsify name and logo, and documentation belong to us or our licensors. On payment you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them on your own site while your account is active. Copying, reselling, reverse-engineering, or using themes outside the service without written permission is prohibited. We may use your feedback without obligation.

14. Liability

  • The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we do not warrant that it is error-free, uninterrupted or fit for your particular purpose.
  • Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the three months before the event.
  • We are not liable for indirect loss (lost advertising revenue, reputation, audience or opportunity) or for loss arising from your content, your configuration mistakes, incomplete information you gave, third-party failures or force majeure.
  • These limits do not apply to wilful misconduct, fraud or anything the law does not allow to be limited.
  • You are liable for loss you cause us or third parties by breaching these terms or the law or through your content, and will hold us harmless from third-party claims about it.

15. Termination

  • By you: you can archive or delete a site and close your account at any time. Take a backup first. Wallet balance is handled under section 6.
  • By us: if you breach these terms or the law, give false information or an invalid licence, reverse a payment, or endanger infrastructure security, we may suspend or close your account or site. Where possible and safe we give notice and time to fix first. We may discontinue a service on 30 days’ notice, with time to export your data and receive your balance.
  • Clauses that by nature survive (liability, ownership, unpaid amounts, governing law) continue after termination, and data is kept and deleted per the Privacy Policy.

16. Changes

We may update these terms. We announce material changes at least 14 days before they apply, in the panel or by SMS. Continued use after that date means acceptance; if you do not accept, you may close your account before then and collect your balance. The date at the top shows the current version.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran. We first try to settle disputes through discussion and support; failing that, the competent courts of Tehran have jurisdiction unless the law requires otherwise. If part of these terms is held invalid, the rest remains in force. The Persian text prevails; this English text is a translation for readers outside Iran.

18. Contact

Questions, complaints and abuse reports: the support section of the panel or support@newsify.site.
